The Honest LED Mask Test · DermaOne (AU)
Questions, answered honestly.
Does LED count actually matter?
Yes, and it's the spec almost nobody checks. LED count is how much of your face is actually receiving light. A hundred diodes spread across a full face leaves gaps, so you're treating parts of it and missing the rest. The DermaOne runs 252 across the whole face, roughly two and a half times what a typical mask gives you.
What does FDA cleared actually mean?
FDA reviewed a premarket submission and determined the device is substantially equivalent to devices already legally on the market. It's a real regulatory review, not a certificate you buy. What it isn't is approval, and it isn't a promise about your results. Our number is K253054. Search it.
Why is there a blue light if only two wavelengths matter?
Because blue does a different job. Red 660nm and near-infrared 850nm are the ones with research behind them for firmness and radiance. Blue 460nm has its own separate research for blemish-prone skin. What we haven't done is add five more colours and imply they're all doing something.
How is this different from the DermaPro?
The DermaPro plugs in and comes with a neck piece. The DermaOne is our newest, completely cordless, FDA cleared as a Class II device, and it runs 252 LEDs across four modes. Same two wavelengths doing the work in both, because those haven't changed and won't. Pick the one that fits how you'll actually use it.
How long until I see something?
The studies ran four to twelve weeks. Most people notice the firmness and brightness creeping back around week four with consistent use. It's a long game, not an overnight fix, and we'd rather tell you that up front.
Will it get rid of my deep wrinkles?
No, and anyone who promises that is lying to you. Nothing you wear will erase deep, set lines. What the right light is shown to do is support firmer, smoother, brighter-looking skin over time. Buy it for the glow, not a miracle.
When will it arrive?
Dispatched within 24 hours with tracking, and delivery is free. You'll get a link the moment it leaves us so you can follow it the whole way.
Run the test yourself
The only thing you're risking is ten minutes a night.
Take a photo tonight. Use it ten minutes most evenings. Compare at week four.
Your own mirror gives the verdict, not us. That's the only review that counts, and it's the reason we'd rather tell you what this won't do than promise you something it can't.
252 LEDs. Two wavelengths that matter. A clearance number you can look up.

It is general information, not medical advice. Cosmetic benefits described relate to the appearance of skin with consistent use over time, and individual results vary. "FDA-cleared" refers to the device's regulatory clearance status, not a guarantee of results, and does not imply FDA endorsement. Statements about red and near-infrared light reflect published research on the technology generally, not clinical claims about this specific product.
